Wow that looks hot! It's nice to make stuff yourself. You know what's going into it! Resolving to make more of my own food was one of the outcomes of my little fast. Yet to make a particle start on that though!

Really glad your fast went well. I was an esl teacher (English as a Second Language) for one of the classes and I had a Korean student who brought kimchi to class for all of us to try. It was hot and not my favorite but I ate my share.

I’m pouring it on my avacado; I eat one every day. They are year round here and about half a dollar or less. My boyfriend eats the salsa with chips! I’m making courgette chips I may dip too!
What do they put in kimchi for the heat?
I think it's chilli. But the heat and sourness comes from fermentation. I bought the kimchi, after making such a big fuss about making my own food! It's a bit of a treat, something to spice up my lunch.
I'm trying to follow a low carb way of eating. I love it but it is very fatty and I'm hoping a little bit of sharpness will cut through.
