Hi - have just joined. Am nearly 60 years old now - huge surprise - not how I feel. My self image is that I am a slim woman but my weight has been steadily increasing, and increasingly hard to keep under control. Am very nearly tipping into overweight category according NHS calculator. Am feeling hugely Uncomfortable around my belly. Rolls of fat when seated - clothes uncomfortably tight, not feeling happy with the way I look. Want to lose 4 kg to get to a weight I know I can be comfortable with. Starting the journey this morning - weighed my muesli, counted calories, and will be joining the gym next week. Ugghh!

Welcome bettyslim. This is a great forum where you can request and receive support and advice from our members and voluntary admin team. Also you can pick up some good tips and recipes 😁👍.
Similar to you, I could still see the old slimmer version of myself in the mirror and it was only seeing myself in my daughter’s wedding photos that I realised I was indeed a podgy heffalump. I didn’t even recognise the person in the photos but as they say, a camera doesn’t lie.
You have come to the right place at the start of your journey and have a good week.
Ps. Beautiful rose.
Hi, welcome bettyslim, you have come to the right place my trousers were really strangling me when I first joined and now they are getting quite loose. It's worth measuring yourself too as it is really satisfying to see how many inches you can lose as you begin to make steady progress.
What a lovely rose in your photo
