Dear People of the Weight Loss.
Well as promised from my last post, here's a pic from a bike ride - this morning's ride.
With mornings like these I'm feeling inspired to get out and go do something.
If anyone has read my posts since I started a few weeks ago, I started running, and then ran into trouble with a swollen knee. Not to be deterred I've got a 10 yr old mountain bike out and hit the biking! I've been putting in some K's, lowered my Cal's and I'm dropping the lbs!! And loving my abbreviations.
I'm halfway to my weight loss goal now and feeling good.
Eating better has been a big thing and everything started with me learning a few quick and easy low cal dishes - stir frys, poached eggs n spinach and fish with rice being the mainstays...plenty of fresh veggies with all.
I think one thing I've learnt is despite a few set backs - weather conditions, swollen knee, and today a broken link on my bike chain - I've been flexible when faced with any adversity. On past occasions the adversity would have provided me with a reason to stop, to quit, but instead I've looked for a solution switching from running to the biking, doing my first strength exercises indoors when my country fields run got rained/waterlogged off, and now I'm about to take my broken bike chain to Halfords!
Go do something today - walk, run, bike, learn a new low cal dish. Stay positive and enjoy the weekend.
Life is good.
