Thank you! Just feel so pants that I've had to resort to this to lose the lard. I am still at the 'I'm a failure' stage

Thank you so much. I guess I need to look forward instead of back...
That's the ticket, forward not backward - & not a failure 😊
We have all got a reason for letting the weight creep up, the important thing is you want to do something about it, & this is the perfect place for that. Read all the info Rose has given you & start as you mean to go on, one foot in front of the other, small steps to start, little changes, it all leads to bigger steps and getting closer to where you want to be 😊 good luck 👍
Hi Rik36,
In Jan 2016, at the age of 55 I weighed over 18 stone and I felt just like you. In Nov 2016 I weighed in at 10 stone 12 lbs - reached my goal in 11 months with Weight Watchers. If I can do that, you can too! Use whatever support works best. I love this forum as it helps me maintain. I have been in and around my goal weight for around 18 months now and life could not be better. You can do this!
From what I have read this is a very supportive and positive way to communicate. People family and friends just sometimes can't help themselves but here everyone seems to get that positive comments can lift us so high. Be happy
Well you are now wearing a Newbie badge, so you are officially a member of this fantastic, supportive forum. You have started. No need for any embarrassment here. If you are looking to do some exercise, you don't have to join a gym or do anything in public. Take a look at exercise on you tube, Leslie Sansone Walks are really good and can be done in the sitting room. Once you have read all the information that Rose has provided you with, you could find your way to the Challenges we have here.
Wishing you good luck on your journey
