Start now. You don't have to eat and drink everything in your cupboards, do you? Start counting calories, download the 12 week plan, and count on us for support.

Hey I shall be up there in Dumfries and Galloway Friday to Monday Booboo. Staying with family so not so easy to count calories this weekend. Happy New Year!

Go for it! Positive thinking and being focused will really help. The 12 week plan is a great place to start. Posting on here regularly really helps. I'm happy to offer my support. Good luck!

Start by making small changes, such as reducing calorie intake and consumption of refined carbohydrates, in favour of complex sources and non-starchy vegetables, in addition to increasing levels of activity (walking will suffice for now).

Don't overwhelm yourself by attempting to make wholesale changes all at one. Introduce them gradually and the rest will begin to fall into place along the way.

I also have recently developed high bp and on tablets now (I'm 45) and it was a wakeup call for me.. I started making changes that day to try and reduce my bp naturally as the thought of a stroke or heart attack is a worrying one.... Its that goal that is keeping me motivated now.... like others say maybe just concentrate on small changes initially to start you on the right track to healthy living x

I'm also Scottish, although living in England at the moment. We're in Largs for new year and Hogmanay is my weakest point, party food and alcohol!

Not what you're looking for?
