Help!

Haven’t got a huge appetite but Am guilty of mindless snacking which over past 18 months has gained me an extra 1.5 stone which I now want to lose. Need inspiration for healthy filling meals so I won’t even think about food between meals.

Hi HH2016 and welcome.

I would suggest starting from scratch. Follow the link that Minnie has provided for you and download the NHS 12 week plan. Read through it a few times and start from there.

You'll probably have plenty of questions but it will be a good basis to make the changes you're looking for.

Good luck!

Hi, HH2016 and welcome to this really useful and positive forum! I'm not very good at doing my own calorie counting but have found the recipes on the One You Easy Meals App useful - they tell you what the calories are and there's some tasty recipes. Stock up on healthy snacks and learn to love them if you can. The most useful tip I've had on this forum has been the Kitchen Closed idea - chose a time after which your kitchen is off limits for eating and keep it closed until breakfast the next morning. It's simple, but I didn't realise how often I reach for some chocolate and a glass of wine while watching TV in the evening. Good luck!

Hello and welcome HH2016 😊

Snacking can be because we're hungry, so sorting out your meals and getting more calories in there will help, but we also snack because we're bored, irritated, miserable etc so if anything like that is a factor, give a bit of thought to how you can deal differently with those emotions :)
