In regard to the aerobic exercise portion of the activity chart, does vigorous activity count double that of moderate activity. For example would 10 minutes of HIIT equal 20 minutes of activity on the chart?

Hi maljames Unfortunately none of us are medically trained and you will have to ask a gym instructor or professional
Please make sure when you ask a professional that you take the activity sheet that you are referring to so that they can advise / answer your question
Wishing you all the best on your journey
Unfortunately I can't help with this. We are not medically qualified.
Try doing the exercise you are comfortable with.
As far as I can remember, the NHS 12 week plan recommends 30 minutes of aerobic exercise each day, plus two sessions of strength exercise per week. HIIT would count as strength. So a 10 minutes (or longer) session of HIIT would need to be done in addition to the aerobic exercise, although not everyday. However this is all just guidelines. The maIn thing is to find types of exercise that you'll enjoy and keep up in the long term. So maybe try a few different things, see what you like best
