Dinner ideas

Sitting writing a shopping list as i am going food shopping tomorrow. I think im ok for breakfasts and lunches but for some reason i just cant think of dinners. My mind has went blank. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I will be making meals for 3 people.

Treat yourself to any of the Hairy Dieters cookbooks. Full of doable recipes, no weird ingredients, family favourites and “fake aways”, and all calorie counted for you. Bit late for today’s shopping list, but so worth it for the long haul.

I totally recommend these too. You might also check your local library if you'd rather give them a test run before you buy. Or just copy out the recipes you like before returning the book.

Log onto the Daily Diary, Debs, you'll get lots of ideas there and there are dozens of recipes in Topics :)

thanks

I've just had vegetable lasagne at 300 calories per portion, I added some sprouts and spinach to bulk it out a bit and it was delicious! :D

I can second the Hairy Dieters (HD) books. I also use the Jamie Oliver (JO) 5 ingredients book for simple tasty recipes. These are also calorie counted and you'll find most of them online. I think my food bill has actually gone down since using these books too!

I might invest in a couple of books. I dont want fancy recipes with ingredients ive never heard of. Just want normal easy meals to make if you know what i mean 😊 thanks

Hi Debs , You can find a lot of good calorie counted recipe books in charity shop. Often they are new condition. Worth a look..
