And were off...

This is my first day, and not the best of days to start as i'm exhausted as have been up with poorly 1 year old all night but i cant keep putting it off so here we go.

I'm a mum to a bubbly 1 year old but been making excused for too long, now she is running about and i need to shed the pounds to keep up with the little monkey and obviously to feel better in myself.

I have a lot of weight to loose but i am determined.

Any tips or advice would be appreciated.

My advice is to log on here, as much as you can. Join a weigh-in, the Daily Diary, a challenge and read everything that you can.

Reply to posts and support other people, as that comes back to you fourfold :)

Good luck! :)

PS I hope your wee one is much better, very soon :)

Cut out junk, alcohol and sweets. Eat enough to burn fat and make it super healthy foods. Keep it up and you will lose weight.

I have to just say i feel you should be careful with your assumptions. I wasn't going to say anything but your comment really wound me up and has been going round in my head. Everything we eat is from scratch and healthy so NO JUNK, I don't drink so No ALCOHOL and I haven't eaten Sweets for years.

Just because someone is over weight it is wrong to assume they have an unhealthy lifestyle.

Just some basic weight loss tips. If you have a lot of weight to lose then maybe there's too much fat in the scratch foods or portions are too big. If not, maybe you should check with your doctor.

Hi welcome Jollybo 👋 well done in taking the first step and posting on the form! 👍 You’ve definitely got to be in the right frame of mind to do it as (well for me) it does take quite a lot of commitment and dedication but it does get easier especially when you start to see the results.

This forum is a massive help and is also a great place to keep a log of your weight loss achievements so if you are ever struggling you can come on here to reflect as well as gain much needed support.

It is such a lovely motivation to want to improve your health for your daughter and yourself I wish you every success along your journey ☺️🍀
