Hi Lucy33 the calories that you are keeping to is this from the BMI calculator range? If yes where in the range are you eating?
I ask this as I started at the lower end and was the same as you, when I increased to mid top range I actually started to lose weight
Make sure you take your measurements too as some weeks I have not lost but have lost inches
well done on cutting out alcohol - you have already cut out the cigs so you are doing really well - sometimes it can take a week or two to get to grips also watch your portion sizes
C'mon we are all here for you, it might help if you post your food intake in the daily diary as well - as I got loads of support and suggestions from others there and I admit to stealing lots of yummy food ideas from there too
Wishing you all the best
Thanks I have been eating around the 1300 calories.
How do I do the daily diary??? Is this another forum finding this site a little difficult to navigate.
Downloaded the weekly planners but that doesn't allow me to write each food in just the total calories for that day
Hi Lucy the Daily Diary is in the Topics section
To navigate the forum you need to read the information in the Newbie Club, which Moreless gave you a link to in your first post here is the link to the Newbie Club healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh...
You also will find the link to the NHS BMI Calculator there to get your personalised calorie allowance as 1300 calories seems very low
Wishing you all the best
Hello Lucy33
Not eating enough calories, and then getting too hungry is the single biggest cause of weight loss failure π please double check your target calories as Cracker suggests.

1300 may not be enough unless you are very small or inactive. The body is a fickle thing and if it doesn't get enough calories it holds onto weight. I have tried cutting hard and it did not work. Work out your calorie range and start towards the top end and then cut in 100 calorie steps each week until you find your perfect spot. If you are lucky it will be at the high end. If this doesn't work then post again as there are other things that you could try, but you need to do this first. Good luck with it. James
Hi Lucy33 It's really worth reading the links moreless has sent you very carefully to fully get to grips with the site. Just play about with it and make mistakes, as I often do, and ask when you're unsure about anything. The more you respond on the forum the easier it'll get.
Good luck
Hi Lucy33 Just a thought. I have started measuring my waist.and have found decreases over last couple of weeks. I am of the opinion that it isn't always the lbs coming off but the inches.
Hope this helps.x
Well thank you everyone I have gone back and looked again and I could have up to 1782 cals so will try to increase also I have measured and have lost w inc of my waist so thank you π
