Thank you so much ,I've stayed the same for the last few weeks .I decided that I needed to change things,so I started the blood sugar diet.
800 calories per day,no problem.

Hi Gary, I didn't realise you was on the blood sugar diet so sorry for advising you to up your calories the other day. Wow, well done. I bet you're relieved and really pleased to see the scales go down. I don't think I could stick to it for 8 days let alone 8 weeks.

It's not as bad as I thought,800 calories .
3 meals per day and I've reduced my coffee intake .

Hi gman1961 . I donβt seem to be able to find more than a couple of days when Iβm not out and about, in order to devote myself to it. Although maybe thatβs just an excuse. I should ask pcrw how she coped with a social life whilst only consuming 800 calories?
Glad its going well Gary. I found it made all the difference to me and post the 8 weeks I am still keeping to the principles of low carb and low GI and sugar, only GI fruit and full fat. It worked like magic
I have full fat yoghurts,cheese etc.
This has given me increased well being and I feel so much better .
People say how can I manage on 800 calories ,it's not that difficult if you get the right foods.
I'm going to look at my diary to see when I was last at this weight .

Hi pcrw,
It's my weigh in tomorrow and I'm not sure about a loss.
Lots of people at work have commented on my weight loss.
Can you advise if the weight loss is consistent or not on the blood sugar diet.

For me it was a consistent 1 kg a week but I was rigid in adherence to 800 cals and No bread potatoes pasta cakes biscuits and only 1 piece of fruit a day , 30 mins swim and 10000 steps.
Since eating more but still as active my weight loss has slowed to about 1 kg per10 days
If people have noticed you look thinner you must be doing it right

Lunchtime meal and evening meal.

Fab. I don't normally do breakfast either but will give it a go. Had BP checked and bloods done today so good to go.π
Mine has been high for years blood pressure and cholesterol.
Want to get off medication.
I found the calories are ok ,if you get the food in.

Hi Gary, I'm fortunate that both of mine are usually normal and nurse did some bloods today as a wee health check. I hope by you doing this that you can get off your meds as that will be great. I'm going to do 2 days and treat it as a 5:2 and see how that goes. I suffer with IBS and have avoided dairy or gone low fat for years but methinks it could be the sugar in low fat foods causing the problem so bring on the Greek yogurt and butter. Here's to a fab week 2 for you ππ€
I have been surprised at how I've been on my first week.
Had treats but run them off,I've been happy as I'm eating porridge or eggs for breakfast.
Reduced coffee intake,drinking more water.

Well done gman1961 . I'm on day 3 of the bsd and was starving yesterday but after a good night's sleep feeling better today. This has really inspired me to keep going.

It looks at what foods we are eating and what happens when we eat them .reduced calorie of 800 per day ,the book is 8 or 12 weeks .I am on my second week now .

I awhile ago went on a low fat diet approximately 800 cals daily I lost 4kg in 2 weeks then even though I was not eating anymore calories I put 1kg back on & stuck, I was told I wasn't eating enough I am a bit confused as to how this blood sugar diet works.

Wow way to go gman1961 and it's very interesting that you have managed so well on 800 calories. I still seem to be losing keeping within my calorie range at the moment and see my GP in a couple of weeks so will see what she says as may give it a go to burn off some fat my liver is storing .......
