Hey everyone... I'm starting again! Ive got about 6 stone to loose and havent been able to break the cycle. Ive been faffing too much switching diets.. with this and myfitness pal to log calories. I hope this the start of a successful journey. The dr mentioned trying Ali but I'm a little reluctant.

Meds aren't necessary. You can do it with diet. Good luck to you!

Welcome to the forum Smartie831 there is lots of useful information on this forum and I find the more I get involved by reading posts, responding with motivational comments and participating in the challenges the more weight I lose. If you look at the newbie information which is at the bottom of this screen (if you're reading from your mobile) you will find lots of useful stuff to help you get started.

Even if you're starting again I still find the newbie stuff interesting and useful reading. Good luck.

Hi Smartie831

I think many of us here have 'faffed' but have found something on here that they can maintain for life, I am not quite sure what Ali is, but maybe others will have knowledge of this.

I'd like to invite you to join our Newbie Club, which we hope will be a good place for you to connect with members, who are also just starting out. If you just post a few words to introduce yourself and respond to others there, you'll soon break the ice. Here's the link

If you can record what you have eaten and keep to around 1500 cals, avoid high fat and high sugar foods, eat less processed foods and drink more water, you will lose weight. Medical intervention helps some people but there are always side effects, not always pleasant, so if you can use your MyfitnessPal and up the amount of activity in your life...you will succeed! Good luck, and remember to post on here if you have good or bad days for some mutual encouragement...

Welcome 😁 I have 4 stone to lose and thats exactly what I've been doing the past two weeks the NHS healthy eating plan and fitness pal .. lost 5lbs so far ! You can do it Smartie831 x
