Hi, I'm on Day 2 of week 1 and need to lose 6 stone, following advice from people on the 'main' forum I am going to break this down into smaller chunks (appropriate word!), so my first goal is 7lbs! Otherwise I think the amount is just too overwhelming 🙂

I agree, it seems so much more achievable when you set yourself mini goals, maybe treat yourself each time you reach your goal?

Go for it! Such a good idea to focus on the 'really-NOT-insignificant' goal of half a stone. Wow. I'm going to do similar. Then you'll have made real progress. A journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step is one of my favourite sayings. Please don't think I'm referring to your weight loss goal as a thousand miles, but for me it can often feel like it - and yet if we don't move forward we ain't gonna get there!

It is definitely a lot easier to break it down into small 'chunks'. I need to lose more than you so I know how daunting it is.
Every pound counts though and they say that just losing 5% of your weight will have positive results on your health.
