Hi everyone this is my first week and I am really enjoying myself!!!i have followed a vlcd in the past but always put the weight back on and need to learn new habits!!!how is everyone doing?

Hi Newbie, it's good your excited about your weight loss journey, it shows your really focused and know what you want! :) I've reached my goal weight and a bit more!....32lbs in all and dropped from a size 14 to a 10!! :) just need to exercise and tone up but that's the part I'm struggling with! Wow this loss is amazing!!!i hoping to lose half a stone before my holidays in oct!!will not be anywhere near a bikini body but it would be lovely to feel comfortable!!have you done much exercise throughout?how have you found it? X x

Welcome, Newbie! You've come to the right site.. I'm losing slowly - about 1lb a week - as have had the same yo-yoing that I think you have experienced in the past. But feeling good healthwise and more energetic, having lost a stone - but still 2 to go, or at least :-) But am keeping to this pound-a-week diet, so that I don't continue the yo-yoing - in other words some days I don't "diet" but don't exceed 2200 cals, and others I stick to the 1400cal so that life is enjoyable, food-wise and other-wise!! TRY TO BE MINDFUL OF SUGARY STUFF AND TOO MUCH SUGAR - EVEN IF LOW-CAL DIET..

Thank you ever so much for your responses!!!its lovely to hear!!!i am hoping to lose a 1lb a week!!!i am setting this as a goal in my head!!!only 3 days in but keeping to my 1400 calories and also started the c25k and a bootcamp so a lot more active than I have ever been!!!but I look forward to reading these forums as they really do keep you motivated!!!x x

Hi Hannah, Welcome to the site that can make all your dreams come true. I'm still newish, I have a long way to go. But the journey is less lonley, with a friend.

Welcome to the site. I am new too and like you have lost weight in the past but not managed to keep it off- I have clothes in my cupboard from size 10 to size 18 though the small clothes depressed me so much that I am currently paying a lot of money to keep them in storage. Hopefully they will be back soon. I can never stick to any sort of formal diet and certainly not anything very low calorie but finding that eating more fruit and veg and cutting out cakes, biscuits, sweets and crips is doing the trick along with reading other people's motivating stories
