Hi just started today. So here's hoping I can last 12 weeks and come out other end a bit healthier. Wish me luck!!!!

Good luck.best thing i ever done joining the nhs 12 week.plan and this forum.it do work.i never excersied but now i do lots of walking and eat heathly. If i can do it you can.good luck.

Welcome - this is great place to keep yourself on track whatever particular diet you're following - I've found the weekly weigh-ins, the friendly advice and spirit of camaraderie invaluable to my weight loss after years of struggling solo :)

Hi my name is Joyce I'm 76 so perhaps one of the oldest newbies here. Though I still feel I need to loose 2 to3 stone. I used to do long distance walking but unfortunately my knees gave out. So can't do a lot of walking. Though I'd like to make more of an effort and do a bit more. Anyway see how it goes. Thanks for your warm welcome to the Newbie group.

Yes I hope to increase my steps gradually building them up. Pouring up here today. So I'm making myself go up and down the stairs 3 times at regular intervals

Good luck.. I found that the 12 week programme takes a bit of planning at first but you soon get into it.. I am on week 10 and am finding it a lot easier to plan meals and count my calories. I am sure it will go really well.
