3 weeks in and still not weight lost
Hello sophie_and94
I am sorry you are not losing the weight you had hoped for, without seeing exactly what you are eating it's difficult to know what to suggest.
I know you have tried to stick to 1200 calories in the past but did you manage to increase this as we advised? Also, did you join the Daily Diary? I find this really helps me to keep on track 😊
I also don't see anywhere that you are part of the Group weight-ins, we have one every day and you are welcome to join any of them. They're excellent for support and advice about weight loss. You will see that many of us struggle to lose and vary week to week 😊
Best wishes
Anna
Great advice from IndigoBlue61 sometimes the body does hold on to weight and then lose more in a 'woosh' . Hopefully this will happen for you!
Hi there sophie_and94 I don't know if I have informed you of this before but do you know if you are even eating the right amount of calories to be able to lose weight. Check this out on the NHS bmi calculator as this gives us personal amounts to eat between to be able to lose weight. Other sites just tend to give average amounts for men and women. We have to eat the right amount of calories because if we don't eat enough your body thinks your starving it and turns what your eating into body fat and this weighs more than eating the extra calories does so it stops you from losing weight and sometimes puts weight on instead. Good luck with your journey.
So sorry to hear this sophie_and94
Do come and join us on the Feelgood Friday Weigh In today. You will really get lots of extra support there, and hopefully being part of seeing other people going up, and staying the same will help you feel more positive.
Think about joining in with, or just reading through the Daily Diary as it is so full of yummy meal suggestions. And why not try increasing your calorie intake in line with your BMI calculated range - you might be pleasantly surprised with the results.
I know this may sound crazy but maybe you are eating to much of the healthy food. You should find how many calories you should be eating on a daily basis. Even fruit can have a lot of natural sugars in them. I hope you start losing soon besides the longer it comes of the longer it stays off!!!
Hi everyone plateaus at some stage have you looked at the NHS weight loss programme week 11 which covers plateauing and possible causes. It can be not eating enough calories minimum for a woman is 1400/day though it could be more if you use the NHS BMI calculator. How close are you to your target weight? The closer you get to it the harder it is to loose weight. Have you measured yourself? Sometimes you don't loose weight but you loose inches off various parts of your body. Any loss is good in whatever form it takes.
I think you need to speed up your metabolism.. your body is trying to adjust to changes and is in starvation mode. Try to do some HIIT workout and drink apple cider vinegar to aboid insulin picks.
