Stomach cramps
I am not sure, though it could be acidity. Dilute the lemon water more with water.
I don't know why you are experiencing stomach cramps sophie_and94 but it could be a change in diet. If it continues you should seek medical opinion
I don't know why you would be experiencing stomach cramps and totally agree with Anna, that if they continue, to seek medical advice. I hope they do stop for you though sophie_and94 , as i had some of these last week, and they are not nice. Luckily mine only lasted a few hours and then went. I still don't know what the cause of mine were and touch wood haven't had them since.
Lemon water is acidic and doesn't suit everyone. Stop drinking the lemon water and see if that helps.
What quantity of lemons and what quantity of water are we talking here?
It is quite difficult to drink enough water to cause yourself harm unless you drink it all in a short space of time. I drink 4 litres a day, every day with no ill effect.
However if you go from drinking very little to drinking a huge amount overnight that will obviously be a shock to the stomach and distend more than is usual.
Likewise with lemons. Lemon water is indeed very good for you, but if you go from zero to 12 lemons in a day, your system will protest.
Interestingly, lemons and limes can trigger asthma in sufferers if taken in any quantity.
