Weight gain can come from many things; water retention; time of the month etc; however i think that weighing yourself daily can be dangerous for your motivation because days like this can cause you to feel concerned & demotivated. I have had to throw my bathroom scales away for the same reason.

Just concentrate on what your doing well at & that's either losing weight or maintaining weight. Good luck

the worst thing you can do is weigh everyday, once a week is just about ok,now you got disheartened.carry on dieting and put the scales away for aleast aweek and see how you go on then.

Good Luck keep on going.

If you have exercised more then normal, you fat is possibly turning into muscle, this does happen, your muscle i think Is heavier then fat, hope this helps, keep going try not let it get to you.

I agree with all the above. When starting out you are wanting that quick fix of weight loss but it is a long path completed in many steps

The body naturally fluctuates 2lbs throughout the day everyday, could be water weight could be food still in your system when you weighed yourself. Try sticking to same time everyday and avoid eating or drinking too much before hand i always weigh in about 30mins after i wake up once a week always seem to be accurate

Different times of the day we can weigh less or more..so weighing should be once a week or once a month and at same time as last time...many things can also affect like medical, health, water gain ...and so on..

Only weigh yourself once a week. I weigh myself at the same time every Saturday morning, post wee, pre-tea!

I also weigh myself every day and have done so for over six months. I've just checked back through my records. On occasions I have had day-on-day weight gains of over 1.8lb and as much as 3lb. It goes with the territory of including daily weighing as part of your routine.

I've also seen day-on-day losses of up to 3lbs.

By all means include a weight check as part of your daily routine. Just keep in mind that what you're looking for is the trend. What happened over a week, or more, is more important than what happened from day to day. The daily weights just give you a chance to see the trend a little quicker, and will also help you learn more about how your body behaves from day to day during each month.

Body weight fluctuates throughout the day so your 2lb gain is most likely to be water weight. Best to weigh yourself once a week at same time, same day, after toiletting....

I'd agree with the above- don't weigh everyday. I get weighed once a month. I find when I focus all on the weight loss I am more likely to get dejected and give up. So I focus on reaching my exercise targets, how far I can walk/run, the size of my clothes etc.

Don't get disheartened if you've only just started and are not seeing immediate results. Make this a lifestyle change. Learn to love your new choices. You'll maintain a healthier lifestyle if you can do this.

Don't weigh yourself every day. Your weight goes up and down - just pick one day of the week and get weighed on that day - same time each week. You can drive yourself mad if you look at your weight each and every day.

Don't weigh yourself everyday, once a week is more than enough and allows for water and muscle retention to go, good luck
