After the warm response from members of this forum regarding my first post on Friday, I did what I said I was going to and reviewed the twelve day plan over the weekend with my Wife, well that was it she looked at me with some sort of amusement or astonishment or maybe disbelief at what I have planned to do, however this soon turned into 'full on' support when she realised that I was serious. From then on she changed a few items on our shopping list and included more high fibre products, fruit etc etc, (without going mad mind you). I think my main issue has been over the years I knocked breakfast on the head, and sometimes haven't eaten my lunch, just a regular meal in the evening. I have been told that this is the worst thing I could have been doing as the body retains fat due to it not knowing when it is going to receive it's next intake.
This morning I had a bowl of Porridge without salt and only a small amount of sugar, god I struggled to eat it as I wasn't hungry, I have added a 2 litre bottle of water to my lunch bag thrown out the cup cake and replaced it with a container of fresh fruit, and now I'll see how the rest of the day pans out.

Wow! That's an achievement NinjaW78 ! If you struggle eating in the morning probably start off with fruits as your body adjusts, introduce the porridge. You'll soon master the journey. All the very best!
Thanks for your comments, the issue is that I have never been a real fruit person apart from the occasional banana, or fruit cocktail now and then so the thought of fruit in the morning is not that appealing, now a fry up yes yes yes bit those days are now gone, if I have the same issue tomorrow then I'm determined to give your suggestion a go to ease my body into eating first thing in the morning and as you say introduce the porridge at a later date.
I had the exact same problem as you when I first started as I never ate breakfast. Just make sure you eat the right amount of calories. Good luck with your journey.
