Blood Tests

I have had blood tests done for various investigations today. On the list of requested investigations was PA1C. I have no idea what this is and can't find any information. Can anyone help please?

Hi! I have been an emt in the medical field for twenty five years and used to teach phlebotomy which is blood draws. The a1c is testing for diabetes. It tests your blood sugar levels and insulin levels. The p I think is testing pre-diabetes as well. I haven't heard it stated like that but is definitely for diabetes which overweight people are prone to especially those with fat accumulation around the middle which is where those who have insulin issues usually deposit the fat.
