I started on my healthy eating and exercise regime on the 29th June. This week I have not lost any weight and have felt despondent. However I have been reading the feeds on here and information on other websites and am so glad I did. Clearly I am expecting too much of my body. So I feel so much better today. If I am watching what I eat carefully and exercising 5 days out of 7 then the weight will shift- just in its own time not mine ! What my husband reminded me of was that I am so much happier as it has improved my mood and also its easier than it had been, walking up the hill to the gym so my muscles are getting used to being used more. So to anyone else who is feeling like they arent doing as well as they hoped- I would say hang on in there with me. We'll get there.

It sounds like your getting into the right mindset now RenewedRufus to continue with your weight loss journey. Just remember the weight didn't go on over night so it not coming off over night either.
I started on here June 2016 and slowly over the year with round about a pound a week loss as now turned into 5st 4lbs lost! So those little one pounds do add up to a lot over time.
Your story is so encouraging YellowRose55. I would like to lose the same amount as you, had a great loss 1st week but down to 1 - 1.5lb now so I guess slow and steady wins the race.🐢🐇
Slow and steady will get you there so keep going and in a few months time you will be so glad you did.
Thank you and I will😊
Thank you. I will hang in there with you!
Great post RenewedRufus😊It's amazing what we can achieve when we are in the right frame of mind. Great that hubby is supportive. Have a good week👍👏
Hi RenewedRufus i hope this does all work out great for you and I'm sure it will in the end. In my first few weeks I wasn't losing any weight either. One of the team who has left now actually asked me how many calories I was eating. I was only eating around 1000 Cals a day. The NHS bmi calculator was telling me to have between 1400ish-1800ish a day to be able to lose weight. I was then told that this was my problem. My body thought I was starving it and turned what I did eat into body fat and this weighs more than eating the extra calories does so it stops you from losing weight and sometimes puts weight on instead. Please make sure you are not also making this same mistake as well. Starving your body is not a good thing for any of us to do. Good luck with your journey.
Thank you so much. I have looked at my calorie intake and you're right. Will adjust. 😀
