Hi here I am still struggling with maintaining, having gone from 10 up to 11 but since I came back have lost 6 lb then gained back 3 but overall since I started counting again I am now 10,10 with the aim of getting back to under 10.7 so I can have a bit of leeway. I think I will always have to cut out cake wine and chocolate, cake is the worst I have decided!! you would think it would be wine but I find sparkling water keeps me going most of the time. I am back making soup as that seems to keep me going even in this heat, I decided that 10 st was very thin for me people made comments , I think 10.3 would be ideal so that's half stone to lose not too bad really, not very motivated at moment as have a lot going on with my mum in home for 10 days to see if she wants to go permanently!! big decision. nice to here from everyone x

I find sugar more addictive than anything, Lizzie, so know that cake is something that won't be featuring highly in my future, either!

You're doing really well, so keep up the good work, just a few more pounds to go :)

Welcome back onto the wagon lizzy. We maintainers all have our different struggles and, like weightloss, one size (method) doesn't fit all , so to speak.

For me continued food monitoring has been the only way, I dont weigh foods anymore but I can more or less visualise the size and calories of a portion these days, and I still record them most days . Ive got so used to using MFP it barely takes 5 minutes and it means I can see two things: my overall intake for a week , my weekly weight, and if its up by more than 3 lbs I cut back. Otherwise I just eat normally not always perfectly healthy but around 80% of the time. Its not a drag. For me its now normal routine and I have my weaknesses like everyone, but I dont cave in just because I had a Topic bar with my G &T last night (I know... strange but true !!) . Im sure you can get back to your happy weight again very soon. 😊

Thanks for all encouragement , has been manic week with mum in home and me visiting and sampling the care home food with her ! that certainly hasn't helped!! Not great choice and all carbs so mustn't do that again. Have been backwards and forwards in heat trying to help her make a decision very hard at 92 having lived 52 years In her own home with beautiful views. I find it upsetting as I moved there to a new house when I was 15. so resorted to a large glass of wine which gave me severe headache yesterday and consequently we didn't go away in van as planned but I went to bed in afternoon . the good news was I won a thousand pounds in a prize draw absolutely amazing as I have never won anything like that !! Today is a better day and we are going if I ever get ready, so will try to pick healthy option over weekend. hope everyone has a great weekend x
