So I'm ok with my mum tum, as I really don't think it's too big but my thighs are another matter. Can anyone suggest any exercises I can do at home to help tone my thighs. A relative commented recently how 'big' I've got as I was wearing shorts. Thanks in advance x

Thighs!

Morning kentishbird77
Just ignore the relative, it's about how you feel not them! I use an exercise bike which I find is toning up my legs so maybe you could do that at home. Have a look on You tube for any exercise programs that might help you.
Have a good week.

I also have large thighs as I'm a 'pear' shape, and apparently this is a very healthy shape to be. If that's the same for you then you may be limited how much you can tone just your thighs. I've found I need to lose more inches elsewhere to see a change on my thighs, e.g. 2 inches off waist equals half inch off thighs. I've tried squats etc that are meant to focus on your thighs but actually running has made the most difference to me. So maybe consider couch to 5k. Hope that helps, and maybe consider your thighs as a sign of good health. And as YellowRose says don't be influenced by others' comments, it's your body not their's
i i have what has been described in the past as solid legs!! Though I had not taken measurements of thighs, calf, arms, hips, waist 7 chest in january when I made the concious decision I needed to get fit and loose weight- visually I feel I have lost weight around my legs & thighs and since now I can wear size 8 trousers and can pull them fully up- in january I could only get them up to just anbove my knees I take as a good sign! All I have done is walking but gradually increasing my pace from 17-18min/mls to 13-14min/mls. I also think the NHS Choices Well Being 10 mins exercises for the Butt would help with the thighs.
Maybe start kickboxing your relative?!π
