Hello, my name is Cherelle. I am 21 years old, 5ft6 and currently weigh just under 16 stone. I have tried many different dieting groups and methods including Slimming World, Slimfast and calorie counting.. nothing has worked.
I am admittedly lazy and just can't seem to find the motivation to make a change. I'm stuck, gaining weight and don't know what to do. I am constantly miserable and feel hideous all the time.
Please help.

Take a look at the Pinned posts section to the right of your screen (bottom if you're using a mobile), or in the drop down on the 'Posts' page (it says 'arrange by'). Read the Welcome Newbie thread, then move through to the challenges, where we hope you'll find at least one that will appeal to you.
Move down to the Topics, to find a variety of threads, collated into specific topics for ease of access and we ask that you also 'file' your own threads, so that others won't miss your important news.
Take a look at the NHS 12 week plan, as a lot of people have been successful with it, making sure to enter your details into the BMI calculator, to get a calorie allowance tailored to your personal requirements. Don't forget to take your starting measurements and a 'before' picture, as they can be very motivating on days that the scales refuse to co-operate.
We run a weigh-in every day of the week and you'd be very welcome to join one of them. The threads can always be found in the Events section, to the right of the HOME page, bottom on a mobile.
We also run a Daily Diary, where we share our meal and exercise plans for the day. It's a great place to get ideas and to keep us focused. The link can also be found in Events.

It's only left for me to wish you well on your journey
Make sure you check out how many calories a day you should have on the bmi calculator to lose weight. When I first joined I had never had any other diets work for me and neither was this one. I mentioned it on here and someone asked me if I was eating enough calories because if you don't eat enough your body thinks you are starving it and turns what you do eat into body fat to ensure it can continue. Body fat weighs more than the extra calories would so you end up not losing weight and sometimes putting weight on instead. Please don't make this same mistake as when I started eating the calories I should have on the bmi calculator I then started losing weight and I have now lost 2st. Good luck with your journey.
You've come to a helpful place you aren't alone in how you think, though if feeling hideous and down is a daily occurrence I'd encourage you to seek support from somewhere.
I built my self up to starting just by counting my calories, not trying to eat a dramatic amount less, just to see how much I was actually eating, cos know your enemy, you know? Try and get out and walk more if you can, or just slip in the occasional fruit as a snack instead of something else. Hopefully the better you feel from making really slight changes will help you feel in a better headspace with more motivation to start getting the weight off.
So sorry you feel so low, I hope you can find support and advice that will be helpful in this forum x
Well, you have to get a target you can aim after. How much do you want to weigh? Just telling yourself that you want to lose weight is'nt enough. How much? Write it down in the present tense, and work at it every single day.
