The past two weeks I've been unwell and all my hard work went out the window. Went to my local nhs lose weight to be told the scales I was using must have been wrong so feeling a little deflated as according to the original scales I was happily losing weight. Today is a new day new week determined not to lose hope xx

Feeling a little lost
hi, there, sorry you've been unwell recently and the scales lied to you, pleased you are ready to take on the challenge to lose weight. good luck for the coming week. we can do it.
Sorry to hear that you've been unwell, Nique, but well done for bouncing back from your disappointment, with determination!

The scales might be wrong, but the chances are they are wrong in a consistent way. The value shown may be wrong (boo! hoo!), but if they show you lost, say, 5lb, then this was probably correct (hooray!). And a fine achievement.
Not all scales are accurate but as long as you weigh on the same scales regularly you will know how much you have lost even if the actual weight is slightly wrong.
Also if you normally weigh yourself at home in your undies then you are going to weigh more when you weigh at doctors.
I weigh myself on my wii fit as I use it for exercise every day and as I can't weigh in the lounge in undies ( or less) I have chosen some clothes that I keep just for weighing and using wii fit that way I know exactly what my weight is doing and that its not because of different clothes being heavier ( or lighter).
My bathroom scales say I weigh 2lb more than the wii but if the wii says 3lb down so do the bathroom scales so although weights are different weight lost is the same.
Hope this helps
