Thanks so much - that's a great welcome π much appreciated. I'm trying to record my weight as suggested but I can't seem to see where to do it. I'm using an iPhone and can't see anywhere at the bottom where I can put my weight. Can you please point me in the right direction xxx thanks
Hi and welcome Kathalbi
You have found the best place to start your journey, here we eat healthy and have fun, yo-yo dieting is what I have been doing for years, but thanks to these wonderful supportive people I have changed the way I think..
I haven't banned any food, I just eat within my calorie allowance. To start with small changes are better as they are easier to maintain, sugar swaps, extra steps, don't take the car walk instead, ignore the lift walk up the stairs. Find an exercise you enjoy if your not enjoying it you won't stick with it. I'm swimming, cycling and walking but I don't exercise I'm having fun
I borrow the granddaughters and head for the park, football and chase, we even had our own kitchen disco this week ππ
Tip; stay active on the forum, Join in, weigh in, Join a challenge, get tips and advice on the daily diary, post good and bad days, ask questions, help someone out, or just chat, trust me it really does make a difference
Good luck
Kat xx

Ah welcome kathalbi and I hope you enjoy the forum. I'm 2 weeks in and it's the most active lively community I've come across! Never thought this would make a difference but wow! π€ what I find most helpful is the weekly weigh in and the daily diary. Im part of the friday weigh in, so ill weigh myself in the mornin (fri) and record it for all to see on the weigh in post! Why dont you join us. I recommend you get yourself involved in these. Navigating the site isn't the handiest from a smart phone or iPhone but once you've got the hang of it ul wonder why u couldn't never find anything at the start! Any issues just shout!
Hi there Kathalbi i notice you say that you always failed other diets it sounds like you were similar to me. I never got anywhere on any diets. I found out on here that the problem was I was never eating enough. When I joined here my bmi calculator told me I should be having around 1490 calories at least in a day. I only had around 1000 calories a day because I never ate much anyway but still ate less when on a diet as I thought it would help more. I got told this was my problem. Not eating enough will make my body think I am starving it so it would turn what I did eat into body fat. This weighs more than just eating the extra calories would. This is why I always either weighed the same for a while and put weight on eventually. I changed this to give it a go and ate enough calories and finally started to lose weight. Make sure you are not making this same mistake too.
Thankyou, very much appreciated. Good luck yourself!
