Hi

Got a hol booked to Zante in September. I need to lose about 3 stone I've joined up to 2 step classes a week and overhauled my diet, I've got 17 weeks to get in shape. Wish me luck!!

Hi that works our to around 3lbs a week which is a lot to lose in such a short time. Not sure if that is sustainable. You might be better to stick to 2lbs a week which is better and you are more likely to keep the weight off longer term. Healthy eating is always better than a diet unless you intend to stick to it for life.

Good luck anyway and enjoy your holiday. I have been to Zante twice and loved it.

Yes I know what you mean its going to take longer than September to drop so much weight but its a great incentive to keep going...got a class tomorrow just have to do my best x thanks for the reply

Well you can drop the vast majority of it is you stick to 1/2 lbs a week. Have a great holiday.

You can do it! You have a clear goal and plenty of time to do it well then you can go on holiday where you will not doubt put weight on then come back and lose that it again. Good luck, use the forum regularly as people are really supportive and what you put it you will get back!

Thank you Ella...is 5 stone your weight loss goal? Mine is at least 3 I'm 13 stone at the moment which is 4 stone more than i was at 9 months pregnant with all of my children!!!

I wish! I have lost almost 6 but still weigh 17 stone - no idea of final goal yet

Welcome to the weight loss forum.

Come and join in with Thursday's weigh in to record your starting weight, you can find it on the Home page on the right hand side or at the bottom if your on a mobile.

Take a look at the Welcome Newbie post in the Pinned post section at the right hand side or at the bottom if your on a mobile. Have a look at the nhs 12 week plan, many members have had success following this plan. Use the BMI checker to work out your daily calorie allowance.

Have a look at the Daily Diary which you can find on the Home page in Events. It is where all the members are sharing their daily plans on what they are eating and any exercise they are doing. This thread will give you some ideas on how to start.

Below the Pinned posts are the Topics where members share a range of weight related subjects.

Take your measurements at the start together with a photo so you can see the changes on the days the scales don't move.

We have daily weigh ins so why not come along and join us today. You can find the weigh ins on the Home page in the Events section on the right. Just click on the post in Events and record your start weight and any loss/gain or maintain for the week.

To get the most of the forum be active, share tips, recipes and experiences. Read some of the posts they are very motivating.

Good luck, I haven't booked any holidays abroad for 3 years now due to having put on so much weight. Really miss them, just keep going even if you don't lose all 3 stone whatever you do lose will make you feel much better. Enjoy Zante

Thanks for the replies I've done 2 Step Classes this week and am def eating healthier I even turned down a Chocolate Muffin my naughty daughter offered me last night 😁
