So I hope it allowed (and legal!) for me to suggest checking out Jamie Oliver's website for ideas for super healthy, exciting and tasty food! He's encouraging the country to cook more, revolutionise the way we eat, be healthier and live well!
Calories per portion are calculated for the recipes. Lots of the food is fun to cook so you can get the kids involved too!
I've found him very inspirational and has changed the way I look at food completely 😝 yummy!!
Just thought I'd put that out there!!

Agree Beth235 his two new "Superfood" books are very much about healthy cooking/eating rather than pretending the ingredients are superfoods in their own right.
He's trying, he's trying hard, his work to try and get school dinners healthier got me wound up. On the one side you've got the NHS saying child obesity is getting to be a real problem, on the other you have schools saying the reason the food is unhealthy is because of very low cost per head. Doesn't take a genius to figure out you spend more on the schools promoting healthy eating then you'll save on the hospitals treating obesity problems.
It's more complicated than that though, kids don't just learn stuff at school, they learn habits from parents at home too.
Got quite a few of his books, and his dinnerware, that's a wedding present that lasted well, the 'Big Fella' platter has served me too well alas, one of the reasons I'm here!
Since he started working with schools there are lots of schools now working with parents to teach them to cook and eat more healthily with their children. I think he's promoting a lot of positive changes across the country.
It's helping me, so must be helping others too 😊 admittedly I sometimes use recipes from the Comfort Food book that won't help my diet!!
