Hi, I joined up a few weeks ago but haven't really been trying very hard.π
I enjoy reading the posts and normally have a look most days. I'm fed up with myself and need to give myself a shake. I'm 12 stone 7lb this morning which is heavier than I want to be. I had a look at the NHS 12 plan and am slightly confused. When I put in my stats it states that my calorie allowance should be between 1450-1864. This seems quite a range to me, so what would should I aim for. Not very active at moment either.
With regards to you calorie range I would always start towards the top,of the range, you can always reduce it later. It's so important to eat enough for many reasons, not least to avoid hunger and increase your chances of long term success π
I have just joined and having looked at the 12 week challenge I'm going to start at the top end of calories, you can always have less calories next week and then hopefully in a couple of weeks you will be able to find the right amount you need.
Welcome and I hope you hit your target weight without too much difficulty.
I'm following my own calorie controlled plan which is somewhere in between that range of around 1600 calories per day, but it does vary sometimes, up or down from week to week. As others suggest, it's a good idea to start at the top range and work downwards.
