Needing a challenge

Hi all , I think I am needing a challenge of sorts to boost my mindset ,finding it too easy to sabotage myself .Does anyone have any ideas ? I did think in February the holiday looming in June would spur me on to get another stone off HA ! no chance am yo yoing up and down around 2/3 lbs each fortnight so still the same as was in Feb.

Motivation and inspiration are the hardest things to come by - each and every one of us has different things which help to keep us going in our attempt to lose weight and get fit.

You need to find the key to what gets you excited and enthusiastic; learning a new sport perhaps or competing against yourself on a bike ride or a swim - beating your own times. It could be discovering new recipes and trying new foods, or taking up weight-training for example.

Try finding out what leads to your comfort eating or what bad habits have caused the weight gain, and then take the necessary action, if you can, to change things.

If you are looking to boost your mindset, how about having a go at the happiness challenge for a week. I didn't think it was going to be for me, but I have to say I am thinking more positively and I think it helps to keep me on the straight and narrow. I have had a hugely stressful week but have made sure that I post on there everyday and this has helped me to focus on the good and I have managed to keep going with my eating plan.

As moreless says though there are lots of challenges to take part in. They are fun and you gain extra support by joining them.

Thank you for replies ,I think I have struggled since my gym routine went to pot it always kept me focussed. Due to other things I am finding the hour and a half each time unachievable so I have decided to speak to my trainer to rearrange my programme to go maybe 4/5 days but for less time ,since I took up Yoga aswell think 4 days would work fine ,And am trying to do 30 mins in the garden every night if the weather is good as I am really missing being in amongst nature and growing things .I was a gardener for 15 years and now I never seem to have the time to do my own and it is showing .

Fimgers crossed that will help me get to a happier ME !!
