You are in the right place, get really involved in the programme, try set yourself some rules like only drinks after the evening meal, write down everything you eat, I am new as well only second day, but I like to snack watching t.v. in the evening, going to stop that, that's my plan any way, keep trying 😄
Thanks let me know how you get on x
Doing good so far 😂 😂 😂 but only day 2 It's good to voice your plans, helps you keep them.😄
When you keep your food diary, it'll help if you also just keep a note of how you were feeling at the time you ate. It's useful - like if you notice you're always bored after dinner, maybe an after dinner walk would help ease the boredom, or a 5 minute yoga routine.
Another useful idea is to stick a photo of thin you on your cupboard door, so you'll remember what you're working towards.
Hi Moochy i was the same. I used to go to chippy on way home after stressful day and then have tea in the evening. I had to force myself to take a different route but all last November the lights were calling me over. Now it is habit not to go so it can be done. It's not easy. I try to focus on reasons why I want to lose weight and benefits that quickly came. I am not perfect but I am an awful lot better than I was. Still 5 or more stone to go but half way there! Good luck, keep posting as people on here are and really support each other through tricky times.
When I was younger, I would come home and run straight to kitchen. Grab as much junk food as my pockets would manage, and then go to my room and binge before my mum came home. Hiding the packets from my mum and loved ones. Spiraling myself into guilt after eating I would purge, causing me to later give in and binge all over again. A spiral that can only be broken through honesty that you have a problem, and self acceptance. For me the problem was deeply rooted, with depression and anxiety. Although losing weight is important, remember to get rid of the cause not the symptom. Just depends if the weight is the cause of your issues or just a side effect. Use losing weight to make you feel better, and improve your self confidence. I would try to start where you saw the issue, try to do things to stop yourself being lonely, bored or anxious.
