I have been on a diet for two months and have lost 10 pounds so far from a starting weight of 16 stones ,but I seem to have hit a sticking point and have not lost any weight for a couple of weeks. I haven't been very active so would exercise help ? Or could I just stick with my diet and wait to see more weight loss?

Take a look at the 12 week plan, as a lot of people have been successful with it, making sure to enter your details into the BMI calculator, to get a calorie allowance tailored to your personal requirements. Don't forget to take your starting measurements and a 'before' picture, as they can be very motivating on days that the scales refuse to co-operate.

Hello it would be helpful to know what sort of diet you're doing in order for people to give you advice. Are you calorie counting? Following a plan? Or just trying to eat sensibly?
Congratulations on the 10lb so far! That's awesome
How many calories are you aiming for each day? there's a lot of talk about how if you're having too few then this can hinder your weightloss. Are you following the guidance given by the NHS BMI calculator as suggested by moreless above?
Don't worry too much about it though. I had this happen to me for a few weeks too but it was nothing wrong. I think my body just didn't want me to drop from the 12st into the 11st weightzone too easily. Also, your bmi amounts do alter as you drop weight so make sure you are not eating too much. Finally, have you done your body measurements at all. Sometimes your weight stays the same but you still know that you you are dropping weight if your size measurements drop. This is one of the reasons this gets recommended to you when you join.
Well done. You did not say if you are exercising .I have Lost 3st on the 12 week plan, But not only by Diet. You need to exercise 5 day out of 7. And give your self Little Treats. but not every day.
