Hi I been a member since 2016 and not added introduction yet. Well I am short and fat and yearn to unleash the 5ft 6in slim person inside of me. As I am only 5ft that's a tall order. I am having trouble shifting this weight which really crept on since last July. Speak more soon.

Welcome to the weight loss forum.

Take a look at the Welcome Newbies post in the Pinned post section on the right hand side or at the bottom if your on a mobile. Have a look at the nhs 12 week plan, many members have had success following this plan. Use the BMI checker to work out your daily calorie allowance.

Below the Pinned posts are the Topics where members share a range of weight related subjects.

Take your measurements at the start along with a photo so you can see the changes and it can be very motivating on the days when the scale don't move.

We have daily weigh-ins so why not come and join us. You can find the weigh-in on the Home page in the Events on the right hand side. Just click on the post and state your starting weight and any loss/gain or maintain over the week.

To get the best out of the forum be active, share recipes, tips and experiences. Read through some of the posts they are very inspiring and motivating.

I have the same problem - I'm the ideal weight - it's just my height that's the problem!! :) Good luck with your weight loss journey. :)

I'm supposed to lose 3 stone ..... it just seems like a huge amount - keep telling myself to think in terms of small steps which will (eventually) add up to a bigger amount. The journey of a thousand miles starts with the first step - and all that :) .....

Hi Marylou54 It seems like we have the same journey weightwise. I have 24 Kgs which is a little over 3stone, but slowly-slowly the snail will also get there😁. Have a great week

Hi Redcat1952 I am so on your page!! What I am hoping for is when I have lost all the weight that I am aiming for, the spread will turn into length! Unfortunately for me, I am a well spreaded 5ft 5Inces..... So working from there I will have to become a 6ft model to have the body I would want to :D Oh well one can only but dream :D Lets dream together! Have a great journey to reach your 5ft 6in slim body!

Thank you my daughter has cleared my garage and guess what? She has unearthed our treadmill, our stepper, our exercise bike with cardio workout, our ab worker, thigh exerciser, and my weightlifting stuff. Well who knew that's where they were all hiding. So slowly slowly I have to reintroduce myself to the gang.

It seems that you have one heck of a garage for these little objects to disguise themselves so well😂😂 I am sure your daughter can become the next big Sherlock Holmes🕵🏻‍♀️

Blimey 5 months since I last logged in since March I lost one and a half stone. I am I France now and think I've put back on a fair bit. Oh botheration!!

Hello from England Redcat1952,I’m Jo, 3ft 9 inch tall. I know how you feel. Joined last year but lapsed due to hand surgery and other medical issues. . Lost 2 stone over the years, now I’ve to lose the last 2 stone which I find difficult as I have spinal stenosis and bulging discs, mobility is poor. Need to get my eating habits under control first then gentle exercise. So, hear I am again… One day at a time. Hopefully we’ll succeed.
