Why am I so tired

Does anyone else feel really tired when they just start a healthy eating plan I could hardly keep my eyes open last night and went to bed at 8.45 I am eating well and up to my calories that I should have. I've only been on this for a week so maybe it's my body getting used to it I don't know 🤷‍♀️

Don't fret - there could be soo many reasons for feeling tired - maybe you sleep a little less well getting used to the new regime or it's coincidence or perhaps you sleep better and are catching up or... Keep at it and all will work out, I'm sure. Best of luck!

It may be that you've increased your activity, Kim.

If you've reduced sugar/carbs, then you're body's having to work harder to use it's fat reserves, rather than getting quick fixes.

Are you drinking enough? Dehydration can make you feel tired.

Are you getting enough natural fats?

Check your calorie allowance, on the NHS BMI calculator. 1400 is a generic amount and most people will need more than that.

I'm sure that given time and possibly a bit of tweaking, you'll feel much better, but if you're at all worried, then you should go and see your GP :)

I was the same the first week, so have now upped my calorie intake to 1800-2000 per day. I just couldnt function on the 1400.

Thankyou for those comments you know I think that it's a bit of everything that's been said. I wasn't sleeping really well before now I am needing my bed earlier there's no pleasing me. I just wondered if it was normal and I think by what's been said it is. I will carry on and see if it balances out. 😊

Hi I posted about this last night I'm 3 weeks in & feeling exhausted. Going by what people have said it should pass soon enough, for some reason I thought by now I'd have bundles of energy😩
