I am not well at the moment and needed cheering up, I also realised it is 4 months since I properly started my new healthy lifestyle.
I did start in September but then went on holiday so 24th October was first day of my new launch. Anyway in that time I have lost 1lb less than 4 stone which I am amazed and delighted by.
I have remeasured today and thought you might like to see the results so far...
I am a work in progress but I am getting there. I have never lost weight before successfully and I am lighter than when I was 18. (Now 40 something)
If I can do it, anyone can!!
Sorry photo is wrong way round, I rotated on the phone and then tried adding it again but it is still wrong. Well it will burn a calorie or 2 if you turn your head to look at it!

Thanks! It's weird to post something so private but I have benefitted from the support on here and if I can motivate someone to stay away from temptation it will be worth it.

WOw , go you! How cool to see those inches actually melted away. That's really really great. You have done so well, and are an inspiration to others. I do hope you're feeling better soon xx
Nice one Ella! Hopefully you are doing well today & feeling a wee bit better. I'm still to measure up!! Just waiting for extra large tape measure! Catch up in the morning. GπΉπ»π·π
Sorry to hear you're not so well at the moment EllaMidlands - hope you feel better soon. Lovely to see all those inches are disappearing π That's three dress sizes smaller I think, WTG π»
It's weird with sizes, I was a 24 trousers and 22/24 top in Evans, now I can get in some size 18 tops and size 20 trousers in M&S . It does vary though but I am pleased.
I have lost weight cutting calories through cutting out all processed food apart from milk in my tea. I cook all meals from scratch and don't eat bread, pasta, rice or potatoes. This has been a big lifestyle change for me as before I just used to eat ready meals and takeaways. I do eat out twice a week but still eat simple meat or fish with veg. I don't eat sauces or anything like that. It has been much easier than I thought. If I try a little piece of something sweet now it tastes too sweet. I never ate much in the way of cakes, biscuits as I have always been more of a savoury chick! I must have been eating loads of hidden sugar tho as I ate loads of tomato based ready meals. I don't calorie count at all but I think I roughly eat about 1600 a day. Good luck
I haven't had pasta at all. I have had the occasional sandwich (maybe 4 times). Had rice twice. I have had a little bit of potato in pubs but only one small one per meal. I try a chip when my husband has them in a pub, if they are 9 out of 10 I have a 2nd chip! I haven't missed them much. I only have desserts on very special occasions so I had 2 at Christmas, one at new year. I had a scone a couple of weeks ago. I have found for me that saying no almost all the time is easier as I don't expect to be able to eat it. Other people count treats in to their calorie controlled diets it that didn't work for me for 20 years if trying. Going cold turkey on sugar and not eating the carbs that filled a lot of my plate has made the difference. Cooking meals was the hardest bit but we eat simple food and don't stress about it much. Eating is not the highlight of my day anymore, I eat because I am hungry but I don't snack in between apart from bit of fruit. Hope that helps, remember it is only me. Originally I was just going to try it for a week but I liked it and kept on. Good luck!
That's exactly it. Even if it is someone's birthday at work - ignore cakes unless it is your birthday, had a bad day? Drive past chip shop (do you know there are 12 chip shops on one of my routes home? I found another route with only 3 because I could bear them calling me over) I know if I have a slice of toast I will want more so I don't have any and I don't think about it so much.
I don't have a lot of weight to lose, but I have some 5 kilos that are always nagging. I can't take them off. I was heavier a few years ago. Like 6 or 7 kilos more. I started running 5 years ago. That helps some. But eating sweets on the weekends keeps those 5 kilos that I have to lose on.
Congratulations and a lot of pom pom waving going on here in my study EllaMidlands . Thank you for giving me hope that I could lose these 3stones that I carry around my body if I keep at it. Up and over the bumps we go
Despite the fact you may still be recovering from your recent scare, the above results no doubt provide a silver lining, providing encouragement to continue.
Be careful though. Keep on at the rate you are and it won't be long before you become invisible when standing side on.
