Donating a kidney is such a very special thing to have done; you must love your husband so very much and it is so important that you look after your own health now. It looks as if you have made a tremendous start since Christmas so congratulations on your weight loss so far. You will get so much support from the lovely people on this forum; they are a fantastic bunch of people and I'm glad you found this community. How nice that you are already thinking of supporting others; you sound a truly lovely person. Good luck and I look forward to reading your posts x
Thank you so much look forward to the next few months 😀
Hi Mrsjaffa13 ! I was so shocked when I checked the BMI calculator too... it's scary!
At first that seems like an impossible amount of weight to lose when you're just starting but it break it down into monthly targets, say 5llbs in a month doesn't sound as hard.
You can definitely do this and you've already done well by cutting out things you know aren't healthy & increasing your activity Best of luck!!
Take a look at the Pinned posts section to the right of your screen (bottom if you're using a mobile), read the Welcome Newbie thread first and move through to the challenges, where we hope you'll find at least one that will appeal to you
Move down to the Topics, to find a variety of threads, collated into specific topics for ease of access and we ask that you also 'file' your own threads, so that others won't miss your important news
Have a look at the 12 week plan, as many people have been successful following it. Don't forget to take your starting measurements and a 'before' picture, as they can be very motivating on days that the scales refuse to co-operate
We hold daily weigh-in's, which you would be very welcome to join. The threads can always be found in the Events section, to the right of the home page, bottom on a mobile.
We've found that to get the best out of this community, we need to be active on the forum, as it's where we exchange information, get motivation and inspiration and make friends. We hope that you'll join us here, regularly, too
It's only left for me to wish you well on your journey
