Hi, my weight has yo yo'd for years but these last few years it's just been increasing. I aim to stop this. I'm aware that how I deal with stress means my eating patterns and activities are erratic. I need to deal with that because it is affecting my health.

Hi katy1

Yes without stress in our lives we would all probably have great figures...

Once we realise why we have put on weight it is easier to take steps to sort it out.

You can do it, it will take time and effort but the rewards will be worth it... Take it one day at a time. Each step brings you nearer to your target, the future is bright!

Hi Kayt1

Welcome to the weight loss forum. Take a look at the "Welcome Newbies" post in the Pinned post section on the right hand side or at the bottom if your on a mobile. There are some very useful links to the nhs 12 week plan and BMI checker to see how many calories you can have daily.

Feel free to join in with any of the challenges also in the Pinned post section. They are very good for keeping us all motivated and are fun to join in with.

Weigh-ins are run from Monday to Saturday so you can chose the day that suits you if you want to join us all.

Have a good first week.

Thanks YellowRose,

I have already looked up the 12 week plan before I joined the forums. It's good that I can choose what day I weigh in.

Yes stress does affect things. I've just found out that I'm very close to having an underactive thyroid. Knowing that does explains some things I've been noticing the past few years.
