Given that my birthday is on New Year's Eve and there's always leftover cake on Jan 1, I always fail dieting plans starting on the first.. so I decided that this year I'd outsmart myself and start a new program the week after. Tomorrow's my day one and I am aiming at losing 50lbs within this year to reach a healthy normal weight and finally feel myself again.
Keep fingers crossed for me tomorrow.. 😊

That sounds achievable, just under a pound a week. Have you decided how you're going to do it? Have a look at the pinned posts. Lots of people use the 12 week NHS plan and the My Fitness Pal app.

We run daily weigh-in sessions and you would be very welcome to join us today, or any other day. The thread can be found in the Events section, to the right of the home page, bottom if using a mobile.
Many people have been successful with the 12 week plan, if that's something that you'd like to do. Don't forget to take initial measurements and photos, as it's a great way of seeing just how far you've come, especially when the scales aren't co-operating fully
