I lost that hard half stone and felt very pleased with myself, having arrived at my 75th in October. But bit by bit...the "ooh a little of what you fancy won't do any harm" syndrome set in, a little celebration here, a lot of Xmas there and hey ho - a quarter of a stone has crept back on. I hate waste and there's still lots of Xmas food around but as I write this I recognise that the waste is actually the waste of time to date if I don't take action now. It will be the waist not waste. So tomorrow stuff's going to go in the freezer, be given away and ditched! There...I've said it to you all so now I'll do it. I'll be back tomorrow to let you know it's done.
Happy New Year everyone

I'm sure you'll lose it fairly quickly , given that you've made a start on correcting things quickly, Like you I started when I was 75 and though it's taken a while I've lost a stone and a half. I'm trying to maintain now and so far Ivemanaged to keep the Christmas gain to 1lb. Cross fingers it stays that way! Good luck. You can do it👍👍
Excellent....It's pleasing to agree that one should never give up at what ever age. I still have 3/4's of a stone to lose (it was less of course, hence my posting) but I have done as promised and temptation's been dealt with....good luck in your quest.
Good idea. I still have family staying and have spent a lot of time each day planning food and providing it,cooking it and/or dealing with left overs.I will be so glad when we reach New Year.
I agree! I just have one straggler left so I'm clear of the catering issue now. It is indeed difficult isn't it? Xmas catering for large numbers always means too much special food around and I find that pure greed kicks in just because it's there, regardless of hunger. I wish you well for the New Year and its resolutions. Today's going OK .....so far
