Hi all, another week complete and another weight loss to show for it. From 17 st 11 lbs to 17 st 0 lbs a bmi of 42.7 to 40.8 yay. I should be proud but I had lost the weight early in the week and I was hoping to lose a little more, I had very briefly gone into the 16 stone bracket then mum offered to cook me a roast and I went up to 17 after that, I had less gravy but I had the same amount of chicken skin to last week so I didn't put as much on. It was a good dinner. I have two meals out to contend with this week I hope the scales will be friendly next week!
Other good things I bought a ninja (a shake maker) I have been having my greens in the morning so I feel quite good about it. You see I needed to eat more as the only time I eat greens is when I serve them with dinner and I don't always do that, hopefully it will heal some of my cracked skin.
C25k I think I'm going to have to slow down my knees feel like they are in pain when I run, I'm going to fast walk until my knees feel fine again.
Good luck all, jp.

Definitely take it slowly with couch to 5k. The process is about developing the ability to run, speed comes later. Also do you make sure to stretch afterwards? Tight hamstrings can unbalance the muscles in your knees, hips etc, so it's important to stretch. I know it may feel frustratingly slow but your weight loss progress is really really good. And the fact you're not 100% saying no to things is great too, as you don't feel deprived then. Maybe plan ahead what you'll have at those meals out. If you know where you're going you may be able to research their menus online. Have a great week
Thanks very much, I shall do that. I don't stretch, but I was told by a couple of colleagues to, so I will incorporate that now as well. I have planned ahead for one of the meals so shouldn't be too bad (opted for the vegetable kebab!) also I can have a quick peak at the menu for the other meal out - I think it will be a roast so I will not have any other meals that day!
You're so on it! veg kebab sounds fab. Sounds like you need strategies for minimising the impact of a roast dinner though... can you max out the veg? Or have the veggie option there too?
