I've always been overweight. I've always eaten a mix of good and bad foods very irregularly. Not eating during the day but pigging out in the evening. Eating my food too fast and often ending up feeling sick because of it. My saving grace over the years is that I have exercised.
The last 10 years I have not exercised much and whilst I eat less bad food, I still leave my food to late in the day. Trying to change my habit by eating breakfast; it's hard to do as I really have no urges to eat in the mornings.
I have to eat better to better manage my newly diagnosed gallstone and bile acid leakage to my stomach. So today I start my journey at 110kg. I hope this community will help keep me heading in the right direction.

Hi and welcome
I am a newbie too - I am near the end of my second week of the NHS 12 week plan and I was very much like you didn't eat through out the day and just the main meal in the evening where I stuffed myself.
The hardest thing has been breakfast in the mornings, I started just having a boiled egg and then taking a banana to eat when I got to work, now tho I am having low fat yogurt and fresh berries or 2 boiled eggs on a slice of toast or baked beans on a slice of toast for breakfast. well up until yesterday when i was running late and so I took a banana and a satsuma to eat as soon as I got to work and ended up having to buy a sandwich for lunch (OMG the calories in a shop bought sandwich - won't be doing that in a hurry again, had to forgo my Friday treat of a glass of wine )
Hope that helps you with your breakfasts, I won't say it is easy to start eating, but it wasn't quite as hard as I thought it was going to be
here's wishing you all the best on your journey
I am sure Rob or Moreless or lowcal will be along shortly to give you a fab warm welcome with loads of info and help regarding the forum (must have been posting the same time as moreless )
Oooh, gallstones can be nasty and I sympathise. Try to eat a low fat diet to help your symptoms. Although I don't have them, close relatives do. They were told to avoid pork as it takes ages to digest it. Xx
Thank you. I was not aware pork could be an issue. I've switched to a fish and seafood diet. I do allow a Sunday roast where pork turns up every 3 weeks. I am working out what makes it bad for me, so I can hopefully hold on to my gallbladder for some time yet.
