Hubby and I are just back from having our flu jabs. I was telling the doctor about this forum and that I had lost over a stone with its help. As a result my dodgy hip has been much improved. Husband, tactful as always said he saw no difference. He realised I was taken aback and from what he said I realised he was still seeing the 9.5 stone girl he married 55 years ago! (. I wish!). We've had our ups and downs in that time but no wonder we're still together. PS Doc delighted with weight loss but thought the rest was funny😬

Awww! Bless him he sounds like my hubby when I said "Why for goodness sake didn't you say I need to loose weight?" His answer was "I hadn't realised you had put so much on." It reminded me of one of those horses with blinkers on that can only see what is straight ahead of them lol.

I know what you mean about dodgy hip my right hip was playing up so much but since loosing weight it's been hardly noticeable.

Hope you have a fab day and congratulations on 55 years together. 💐 Bev

Thank you itsbab. Like yours my hip is much improved. Walked to docs today without my stick which I don't alwYs use but which I usually have with me just in case!

Thank you🙂

It seems that your Husband, like mine has got a good reflex action for giving the right answer. His stock answer is 'yes dear' and it usually keeps him out of trouble! Well done on your fantastic loss.

Reading this had suddenly made me realise that its the same for my husband too 37 years married and together for over 43 years, since I was 14yrs. Let's how they never take the glasses off hey?

I think after all this time together neither your hubby nor mine will even think to take the glasses off. Mind you it does mean we get away with murder! Right?

Aw shucks, that's so sweet!!

Are we married to the same man? 🙄

I take it you've experienced something similar. He just looked at me and said " You're just my Molly". I actually felt quite emotional. Aren't they lovely when you least expect it.😥
