Good to hear from you. I don't really have enough fruit and veg in but really need to start again. Yes I have dieted before but I am finding my lack of mobility a real problem

I think my real struggle is being able to trust that I'm counting calories correctly. Other than that, being able to squeeze in time (and will power) to exercise.

I suggest you try My Fitness Pal for calorie counting. It is very easy to use.

Welcome to the both of you. Did you read the pinned Welcome Newbies post? It has a lot of useful information. And do join us for the Monday weigh-in tomorrow if you like. It is posted by moreless or Zest , so if you follow them, you will be notified. Good luck on your weight loss journey 👏

Welcome to the forum. I agree with ibencopenhagen and also use my fitness pal. I would also check out the NHS BMI calculator to find out how many calories you should be eating. It will give you a range and the lower down the range the more weight you will lose. I am a slow loser on average just under a lb a week but in 16 weeks that means I have lost a stone. However some do it much quicker. Try to remember anything in the right direction is a step to a healthier lifestyle. Good luck 😀

Well done for deciding to make a start. I have cut down on carbs and cut size of meals, plus nibbling less in the evenings and l have lost couple pounds. It is not giving up that matters. Good luck.

Many thanks for all the support.

Just done my start weight and waist measurement, I need to lose 3 stone+. For much of my life I was underweight but as I got older my exercise levels went down and food intake went up.

Fibromyalgia kicked in, the depression returned and comfort eating became a thing.

So I have lots to contend with but I hate how I look so need to do something about it.

Thanks again for all the support :)

Good luck, keep us posted. It's great fun on here and everyone is behind you.

Hi Lori59 how is it going!! I only started last week and have just got my first full week done. Going well - lost 2lbs (which is good for me, as I find it difficult to lose large amounts of weight in one go). Best piece of advice - make sure you keep an accurate food diary, it really does help you think about what you are eating. I have not felt hungry at all on any of the days so far. Good luck :)

I am currently doing my online shop alongside my meal planning. Trying to think hard about adapting recipes so they are lower in calories. Thinking of meals is hard though
