This week has been terrible! I need to plan more I think. I'm confused with the calories I should have to be honest. My fitness pal says I should have over 2000 for my weigh surely that can't be right? Any idea guys? Help would be greatly appreciated x

Horrid Week! :( help please if you can :)
Try the NHS BMI calculator because that gives you a range then you can play around until you find the amount that helps you to lose weight 😀
Oh no...well at least it's nearly over!. Do check your bmi here...

Your personal calorie allowance is to do with your height/weight ratio and how active you are. When you find out your calorie allowance range you can choose whether to go with the maximum you are allowed, the minimum, or somewhere in the middle! Middle to minimum being the best option for weight loss.
I hope that helps a bit, and here's to a better week next week.

Hi I use the calculator off the NHS forum and count upto the minimum sometimes I go over a little but I go to the lower end in case I have calculated too low at times which is more or less likely.
Don't forget to be honest with your activity levels, like a car can't run without fuel neither can you, the more exercise you do the more calories you need.
Best Wishes Bev👍
Hiya honey. All I can do is repeat the advice you have had and check your bmi. Sunday is a new week. Xx
Hi and welcome
I checked my BMI and got the calories I need from the link in Ruby8 link and to start with (first two days) I was doing under that - then I went to mid range of that and I have lost 3lbs - I am not officially due to weigh until Monday but my nose got the better of me - this is my first week too
Good luck on your journey x x
Hi, if you are losing weight then your calories allowance is obviously OK to enable that to heppen. If you aren't then you need to cut back further until you start losing 1lb-2lbs a week. 2000 cals a day is quite high, as it's the average intake for women to maintain their weight rather than lose. But it might be right fo your if you are heavier and have a fair bit to lose.
The other thing to consider is if you are calculating your intake correctly. it is quite easy to underestimate how many calories you are taking in, so you might think it's 2000, but it is actually more. Careful weighing and measuring is required!
Thanks for the advice guys it's all taken on board and I'm going to use the link Ruby sent to check my calories x
