Hi it's ages since I posted. I started the weight loss NHS plan last October and lost two stone reaching my target in May this year. I just wanted to say it was a real help coming on this site and getting positive and encouraging comments and hey I'm still maintaining weight loss and not finding it too difficult. π

Going well
Congratulations Irmagee, that's absolutely terrific! Well done you!
I wonder if you'd like a maintainer badge, to proudly display to us all?
Hi
I must be stupid I didn't know anything about maintainer badge I would love one. I have to go out now bit will come back on when I'm back and thank all the kind people who've replied to my post
Many congratulations Irmagee, not just on your fantastic 2 stone weight loss, but even more importantly, on maintaining it for 4 1/2 months now. I'm so glad you posted and would like to hear more from "maintainers" because I would like to know how you manage to do what I have never been able to. Losing weight is only the first part of our battle after all; you give us all hope that having reached our target, it is possible to keep the weight off. I hope that you manage to maintain that weight indefinitely! If I were you I would be asking for a "4 month maintain" badge and wearing it with pride! Very well done x
Hi Irmagee,
That's fantastic, congratulations!
I agree with kalahuchi , any advice you can give on maintaining would be hugely welcome. Once I get to that stage!
Hi Well done on maintaining!
Well done Irmagee π That's an excellent result! πππ
Maintaining is not easy so you have done really well! Go on! Get your badge and wear it with pride πππ
Well done Irmagee, maintaining is not easy. I have lost weight many times and then gained it again. I've also lost 2 stone on my most recent diet and kept it off now for about 6 months. I get weighed every week as I did when I was losing the weight, which I think is something we often fail to do once we reach our goal. It certainly helps to keep me on track. Hopefully I can keep this up for many months/years to come.
Hi Pamton
I agree about continuing to weigh although I actually weigh twice a week now and if I have put on a pound I find it usually rights itself in couple of days if it doesn't then I go back to counting calories for two or three days. Another important thing is not to let portion size creep back up! Well done for keeping it off this time.
