Retired and overweight. Eats to much. Drinks too much. Will die early if I don't do something about it. Going to give this a go.

The time has come!
Starting this morning with two weetabix instead of cheese on toast...
Hiya and brilliant start best to look at as a rest of your life, life style change. No need to go berserk and cut everything out. That is not life and not realistic to stay with. We all know what's healthy and what's not. 12 week program will get you going in the right direction. I'll follow you and support your progress. We can do this x
Also look for Monday morning weigh in post. Moreorless post on a Monday and we reply with are progress each Monday. My first post I posted my present weight and goal and then weekly we post are lost and present weight but feel free to post your results or not. I just feel it gives me accountability x
Go for it, a happy and healthy retirement is what we work our whole life for. I found that the key for me is to be active and eat clean (avoid processed foods).
Hi and welcome Gedbet
Good for you! You can do this!
Take a look at the Pinned Posts section, to the right of your screen (bottom, if you're using a mobile) and have a look at the Welcome Newbies thread, it has a link to the NHS 12 week plan, which is a guide to healthy living, rather that a specific diet plan.
Consider joining any, or all, of our challenges, as they're fun and motivating.
Join us for the monday group weigh-in. If you follow Zest , you'll be notified when she posts the thread. However, the latest thread can always be found in the events section, to the right of the home page.
Be active on the forum, as that's where we exchange ideas and get our daily dose of motivation and inspiration
Wishing you all the very best
