Well off to the beach today with my eldest daughter. She is off on annual leave this week and decided she is going to help me with my activity levels, bless her !!!!!!!! I know she loves me really !!
Bit of a drive to get there, about an hour but hey its the best place in the world so should be a great day.
There is nothing in this world better than walking on the beach as it just fills me with calm and gives me so much energy, even though it will be blowing a gale, the north sea fair whips your face in Norfolk but it is a great feeling.
Normally I would go down there for breakfast, but hey no the girl who is thinking about her poor old mother's health says NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! she is taking fruit and yogurt for us, isn't she KIND, love her.
It will be nice to spend time just with her so I am looking forward to it, hard when you have 4 adult children to give quality time.
I will not be taking my bikini( my daughter would say thank god as she would not like the inhabitants of Norfolk to fall in the street's. What, would they not be amazed by my beauty !!) You never next year maybe lol !!
Hope you all have a fab day.

Had a wonderful day and a very vigorous walk. I think my daughter would fit very well into a Boot Camp for the SAS !!!!!
Rained at lunch so went and had some amazing soup at Norfolk Lavender, only tomato and basil but made from fresh ingredients, and no bread as too full from soup.
Glad you had a wonderful day - that vigorous walk does sound quite tough! Glad you survived it, and that you had a delicious soup for your lunch. Sounds really good.
I'm having a good day so far - I've been doing a squat challenge whenever I take a break, by doing some squats whilst waiting for the kettle to boil. Previously I'd have done star-jumps, but I've joined Ruth et.al. on their 30 day squat challenge, and it's very motivating!
That's really good that you have taken up the challenge. Wish I could do squats, but back not quite up to it yet, the time will come though and hopefully soon.
I wish I had Ruth's energy she is very motivational. Keep up the good work, you are really brave to commit to the 30 days.
Started the squat challenge yesterday, only started on 5 so did 6 today in the garden after hanging out the washing(like you do lol), when heard a whistle and " nice moves".
When turned round 2 window cleaners peering over the fence !!!, and have learned this week, do squats in the house !!!
Your daughter sounds like a gem - clearly she has a great Mum!
I went to the beach yesterday for the first time in probably 12 months at least and it was so nice. It really gave me a bit of a reboot which I have been needing as my food choices have been getting a little dodgy the last few days.
It was good to get out walk and have a little splash and just hit the reset button.
And I agree - do not take your bikini.
There is no reason to make all those poor people feel bad about themselves by parading around your sexiness.
Glad you had a good time at the beach, it makes you feel so good doesn't it.
I thought it would blow away the cobwebs but think my reset button was blown into the North Sea !!!!!!!!!! I love the sea, I would have been a mermaid in another life that's if I looked good in green.
Glad to hear that you and Bert have had a heart to heart and you are winning the battle, I have Sheila, she is my shoulder pal for negative chats lol.
As for THE bikini well it's still a little on the snug side at the moment, I don't want to blind my public just yet, not got a good enough tan yet :).
As for the daughter she is brill, she has just driven 120 mile round trip for the beach so she is the best. Better not let the other 2 daughters know as I tell them all they are best of course lol. Have to keep them all sweet so I get a good birthday prezzie later in year.
Remember ignore Bert and take those new trainers for their daily constitutional.
Lovely but tiring spending the day with the SAS Boot Camp leader (really she works in pensions) lol !!!!!!
Lovely lunch, we was not allowed to go anywhere near the chip shops boohoo the smell is soooooo............ good !!!!!
The organic soup was just as lovely of course, really !!!!!
Only abandoned the walk when it started to hack down, yet again, where has the summer gone.
Very windy so hair looks like a birds nest, why her doesn't I have yet to work out, but hey we can all have the just from the surf look, me not her.
All in all a fab day.
PS we didn't even bring any rock home, how good are we.
.
Oh I do like to be beside the seaside, oh I do like to be beside the sea........... Those tiddly, om pom poms should be all jolly right now, a lovely outing with a lovely daughter, exercise, healthy food, fresh air........ the list is endless.
I have a faint note for next years tune dancing in my head, 'It was an itsy bitsy, teeny weeny, yellow polka dot bikini......'.
May have to be orange, fav colour, but hey yes cracking on with it.
Children may disown me but hey where do they think they get all their good looks and perfect physic from :)
Just been to Norfolk too - but for just a short bank hol weekend trip. Had a great Sat eve/Sunday, but ran away before the Bank hol Mon rain drowned us in our tent! I learnt so much about the coastline and the way it's being re-claimed, and also went on an epic walk (on the Sunday) that nearly did me in. Was up in the very North West around Brancaster and Burnham Market. As I recall it was much too cold for anything as skimpy as a bikini, ended up wearing all my clothes just to stay warm! Hope where you are is less rainy but similarly beautiful. Enjoy the rest of your break
I'm glad you enjoyed your trip to Norfolk, it's a beautiful place, I go to Heacham mostly as it is a fab beach for walking on. It goes for miles and miles and everyone is so friendly. Also not over crowded so calm and peaceful place to walk. Brancaster is fab and have been there many times.
You're right about the bikini, big rain mac was more useful
Lovely day though and SAS daughter really rather lovely.
I feel ready for anything now, back on the bike tomorrow with said daughter, she reckons we will do 5 miles lol I will try my hardest.
That's really near to where we were staying! We were camping near Stanhoe and ended up sheltering from the rain in a pub in Old Hunstanton. I guess there's no sheltering in pubs for you though. Enjoy your healthy soups and epic treks into the wilds of Norfolk
My girl is trying to teach me how to make it...she's the instigator. I love it! I've got one girl, one boy, 22 and 25. Time flies! Do you think they're to old to be blamed for me being over weight when pregnant lol
