I have a son who has more deodorants, hair products etc than the rest of the household put together. Am I being a little snidie or do the advertisers and commercial industry think that they have maxed out the female population and are now(tho I think that they have been doing it for some time) see an untapped and virgin territory to exploit and make to feel inadequate. Initially targeted at the young but I have noticed wrinkle cream for the older male. And a shampoo that will regrow your hair! Really!

And don't get me started on the six pack images of men on Steroids and x hours everyday in the gym. My son went through agony trying to build muscle when his body was too young to comply.

He has spent a fortune at hairdressers.

He is slowly learning to love the body and hair that have been gifted to him.

When you consider the millions spent on unobtainable images/lifestyles what chance do humble parents have?

Only love and picking up the pieces.

oh yes the six pack as i spend 16 years of my life body building i know how hard it is to get muscle that what makes me giggle when someone puts up a post saying they have stayed the same or put a lbs on and some people jump strait in and say yr building muscle lol
