W4R3 on a fasting day and I seemed to have bags of energy??? Yesterday I jogged for 25 mins treadmill as I just felt like going on, no aches or pains and not tired this morning. Gallons of water though! is this a one off? Is this a safe way to exercise?

I'm assuming you mean the 5:2 diet?

I know a lot of people like to exercise on fast days, just fine. Just make sure you know your limits, don't over do it - as with any exercise. And drink plenty of water before, during and after - like you did.

No worries - if you've had a look on the fast diet website, or even have the books (I've got the fast diet and fast exercise) there's loads of great advice on the diet and the HIT exercising too :)

Hi ,

In my opinion jogging is a bit strong to cop during fasting and can cause some muscle problems as I had read an article on doing exercise during fasting.

The calories are already down than normal you can exhaust yourself so its better to jogging on non fasting days.
