I have high blood presser and am over weight, have tried everything to lose weight but nothing. works, I am waiting to have knee replacement, so need to lose some weight

Have a look at the Pinned Posts section, to the right of your screen, (bottom if you're on a mobile) and read our Welcome Newbie post. It has a link to the NHS 12 week plan, which is a great place to start. It doesn't give a specific diet plan, but gives guidelines for healthy eating.

Consider signing up for any, or all of our challenges, as they're fun and motivating.

We also have a monday group weigh-in and if you click follow on my profile, you'll get a notification when I post it on monday. You can have a look at the latest thread in the events section, to the right of the home page.

Be active on the forum, as that's where we meet to exchange ideas and get our daily fix of inspiration and motivation

Hi ellebelle I'm in the same boat as you high blood pressure and awaiting knee replacement I've now lost 25 lbs since January with low fat diet and swimming and I came off a lot of meds as they weren't helping with my pain only making me put on weight I'm still in pain but I try and push thru it please do not stop any medication tho I done this with my doctor good luck on your journey I'm still taking blood pressure tablets tho xx

Hi I too have very high blood pressure and am waiting for a double knee replacement so far I have lost 15 lb but I cannot exercise due to the pain I take a lot of medication which does not help when you are trying to lose weight good luck
